Once upon a time me and Mark were driving home from a Zann show and took along a friend who needed a ride home. Knowing he was a guitar player and into all the mid-90’s stuff we began making up how it would be to just have such a band. The kind of band we would travel hundreds of miles to see in a sweaty basement when teens. The kind of band we would scream along to, crawling on the dirty floor, while the hip kids would stare at us in disgust. The kind of band who wouldn‘t give a shit about glossy covers or limited editions and rather give their stuff away for a few bucks just to get their point across. The kind of band that would bring back all that was important to us, the mosh, the punk, the politics. Well, that dream never died…

Going back and forth between people that seemed interested in our idea, in early 2010 we found a friend who would pick up his guitar again to feed this vision. While first songs emerged from a basement in the heart of a boredom-ridden town we know as Jena, there was still the need for another guitar player and a singer. Flyers were passed and eventually time and space collided in our favor and we met Stefan and then another Stefan. It was pretty much love at first sight and from there everything fell into place. With the demise of Zann in the summer of 2011 everything was open again to new possibilities and all of our time went into what we now know as barren.

So what’s left to say? Euphoric enough to start all over again, we will write songs in that damp basement of ours just to play them in yours. We will head your way sooner or later, hang out with you before the show and reminisce about the times when we were young. We will offer you twenty minutes of noise and sweat and you in return will pay us with that all-knowing grin on your face and hopefully some gas money. We for sure will ask about the vegan pizza place you mentioned earlier and later we would love to fall asleep on your floor to the sound of early-morning traffic and your room mates‘ talking next door. In the morning you will be gone to work, but we will leave too, both of us still lost in thought about last night’s love affair, smiling, knowing. But unlike other lovers, we will come back to your town and play you some angry love songs, if you just let us. It’s what we know best, it’s what we like most.

Here we are, let’s see what lies ahead…
